Clemson this week offered 6-5 Trey McGowens, the former Wren standout who reclassified to the 2019 class and transferred to Hargrave Prep in Virginia. McGowens was thrilled to get the offer from his hometown school.
“I love everything about it,” McGowens said. “I mean, I grew up 10-15 minutes away from there. My dad played there also. It’s just the atmosphere and I have a great relationship with the players.”
McGowens said Florida also reached out to him recently. Some of his other offers include Kansas State, College of Charleston, Wofford, Charlotte, Ole Miss and VCU.
He will visit NC State unofficially November 4th. And he said USC has been in touch with one of his coaches.
He does not claim any favorites at this point.
