South Carolina Men’s Basketball Coach Frank Martin appeared on SportsTalk Wednesday night to preview the 2017-18 Men’s Basketball season and the November 5th “Hoops 4 Hurricane Relief” game against Virginia Tech.
Martin said he and Virginia Tech Head Coach Buzz Williams have a history of scrimmaging each other in the preseason, and already had a private scrimmage set up during the preseason which made this event easy to set up. South Carolina will scrimmage the Hokies once privately Saturday, November 4th, and then in front of fans the next day.
Tickets start at $10 for general admission for the November 5th public exhibition, going all the way up to a $250 dollar donation for two premium seats and two passes to the McGuire Club during the game.

The Gamecocks’ exhibition season begins Monday night when USC hosts Erskine at Colonial Life Arena. Martin says the biggest thing he’s looking for is how his sizable set of newcomers fits in with his returning players such as Chris Silva, Hassani Gravett and Maik Kotsar.
The biggest set of expectations rests on Kory Holden, a leading scorer at Delaware before his USC transfer, and Martin believes having a year in the Gamecocks’ system will help Holden adjust seamlessly.
