Clemson failed in its attempts to land RB Master Teague III of Murfreesboro, TN in the summer as he committed to Ohio State and remains firm with the Buckeyes. The Tigers are now going after his 2019 teammate in WR Trey Knox (6-4 190) of Murfreesboro and they are in good shape with him after a weekend offer.
Knox made an unofficial visit to Clemson for Saturday’s game with Boston College and it was during the visit he landed the offer from the Tigers.
“Getting that offer is a big deal,” Knox said. “They are a great school for for wide receivers and they are at the top of my list now. I like the way they throw the ball around.”
To clarify, Knox said Clemson now is his favorite school. Some of his other offers are USC, Tennessee, Ohio State, Florida, LSU, Vanderbilt and Louisville.
