A media member asked Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney about the pollsters view on his team Sunday, and he sung a familiar refrain.
Swinney lamented that “I don’t know why they take polls in September,” when asked about this week’s rise to the number two ranking. The Tigers come off their third victory of the season and a decisive 47-21 triumph over Louisville, sitting atop the ACC Atlantic Division.
The head coach said he learns something different about Kelly Bryant every day, and continues to be impressed with how he adapts each week. Swinney also referenced K’Von Wallace and Isaiah Simmons as players who stepped up with the injury to Van Smith and Tanner Muse’s targeting ejection.
On the injury front, Clemson will be without TE D.J. Greenlee for the next couple of weeks with a sprained MCL, but should get CB Marcus Edmond back this week from his ankle ailment.
