RB Harold Joiner (6-3 215) of Mountain Brook, AL is the latest at his position to draw Clemson’s attention as the Tigers continue to scour the landscape for a ball carrier. They have yet to land a commitment from a running back for the 2018 class, and it’s not definite they will take one. But they like Joiner. The question is, will the Tigers offer?Joiner was at Clemson last Saturday night for the Auburn game and an offer certainly would increase his interest in the program.
“I thought it was great,” Joiner said of the game. “They run the spread and I thought they ran it pretty well. My high school runs the spread and I’m doing pretty well in it so I think I would show up for them good in that offense if I end up going there. They were telling me I’m a great back, an every down back, and I would fit perfect. They could see me catching it out of the backfield, running out of the backfield, doing it all for them.”
Joiner said Clemson would definitely be one of his top schools with an offer and he said he heard from a coach at Clemson an offer would be coming soon. He listed LSU, Alabama, Michigan State, Southern Cal and UCLA as the schools at the top of his list and each has offered.
He has set official visits to LSU October 13th and UCLA October 20th. This weekend he plans to go to the Alabama game. He does not have a favorite and won’t make a decision until after his officials or as late as signing day.
In three games this season Joiner said he has about 400 rushing yards with 8 touchdowns.
