Despite how “clean” Dabo Swinney continues to call his team’s performance against Kent State, he believes Clemson still has some improvement points to make before their Week Two game against Auburn.
In Sunday’s media teleconference, Swinney said there was nothing in the film study of the game that stood out to him that he didn’t see on the field, but some missed assignments and alignments need to be corrected before Saturday’s rematch with the Tigers.
He referenced the fact that the Tigers had been good at all three phases, including Special Teams, which until last year’s postseason, had been a point of inconsistency for Clemson. Swinney offered that the only injury of note was to Free Safety Van Smith (sprained knee) but that he felt better Sunday and will know more on his status Monday.
