Thursday evening marked the last time we will hear from the Clemson coaching staff before the Tigers prepare for game week against Kent State.
Head Coach Dabo Swinney conceded that they are right on schedule for their preparation for Kent State and time management has shifted from working on themselves to beginning to focus on their opening opponent.
Swinney also talked about the walk-on tryouts that concluded practice on Thursday, and shared his observations from those who showed up to try and earn a spot along the scholarship Tigers:
Co-Offensive Coordinator Tony Elliott informed the media that CJ Fuller will be the starting running back against Kent State, but that they are willing to run at least four running backs out on the field. Adam Choice and Tavien Feaster will see the field with Fuller, and freshman Travis Etienne will also see some significant playing time.
