6-7 Jimmy Nichols Jr. of Conway is on the fast track towards a decision. He plans to make his commitment in September and will take his three official visits over the first three weekends of the month. He goes first to Providence, then to USC and finally to Miami. His decision will come from one of those three schools.
USC is the only one of the final three schools yet to offer Nichols, but he talked with Gamecock head coach Frank Martin again Tuesday night and was told he would receive his offer while on his official visit. That’s the same thing Martin told Nichols and his parents when he visited unofficially earlier this month.
Nichols said all three schools are “pretty even right now. They like my size and my skills.”
Nichols averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds per game last season.
