The USC men’s basketball team will leave Saturday for Costa Rica where they will spend six days blending in practice, games and clinics. The Gamecocks have been allowed by the NCAA to have 10 days of practice in Columbia before leaving and that has given Frank Martin a chance to get a glimpse of his team for this season.
Only players enrolled for summer school can make the trip to newly signed center Ran Tut and point guard Rakym Felder are not going. Plus, newcomer Sedee Keita, who has been in summer school, won’t play because he is recovering from a hand injury.
Thursday Frank Martin and his three seniors met with the media to discuss the practices thus far and the upcoming trip.
