WR Chad Terrell (6-3 205) of Dallas, GA is another tall and talented receiver in Georgia being sought by USC. He and his parents plan to attend Saturday’s Spurs Up Cookout in Columbia. He also visited for a junior day earlier in the year.
Terrell’s top offers at this point are USC, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, NC State, Mississippi State, Oregon and Louisville. USC, Ole Miss and NC State are the main ones with which he’s in regular contact and he’s also still thinking about Mississippi State. He has visited Ole Miss and Mississippi State this summer.
USC receivers coach Bryan McClendon is recruiting Terrell and and he says he hears from him at least twice a week.
“What seems to be the deal with him is me coming back for a visit and checking out things,” Terrell said. “They seem to like me a lot, that’s what they tell me. Coach McClendon tells me he likes my size and being able to run and not being less athletic. They also like my character and like me in the classroom.”
Terrell would also like to visit Oregon and Louisville after seeing USC but he feels his recruiting is quickly coming to an end.
“I’m pretty much at the end of my decision making,” he said. “I’m still processing but I’m closer to the end of it. It shouldn’t be too long but I can’t see myself making a decision for at least another three weeks.”
Terrell can’t name a favorite and he said USC, NC State, Oregon, Mississippi State and Ole Miss are all working him with the same effort.
Last season Terrell caught 51 passes for 826 yards and 10 touchdowns.
