Clemson reserve linebacker Kellen Jones is leaving the Tigers program. The news was first reported by TheClemsonInsider.com. Jones, a redshirt junior out of Houston Texas, played in all 13 games for the Tigers last season. He finished with 21 tackles. He also forced a fumble.
According to the ClemsonInsider report, Jones is giving up football but could resume his career elsewhere later.
Clemson had the top ranked defense in college football last season, but they will be replacing several key starters next season. The defensive line and linebacker were the positions hardest hit by graduation.
