OL Christian Pellage of Brooksville, FL announced today he will follow thru on his long standing commitment to USC and will sign Wednesday with the Gamecocks. Pellage first committed to USC last August but took a long look at Florida once the new staff took over.
Pellage met on Wednesday with the offensive line coach from Florida and on Thursday with USC line coach Shawn Elliott and then he finalized his plans.
“Florida gave me a lot to think about, especially with the new staff and the players, but in the end, after the discussion with my family, South Carolina just felt right deep down in my heart,” Pellage said Friday night. “My relationship with Coach Elliott had a huge impact with this decision. It wasn’t always about football, we got to know each other personally. I know I can trust him in my development as a player and a person.”
Pellage is one of five offensive linemen committed to the Gamecocks and one of 31 newcomers for the 2015 class.
