Frank Martin held a press conference today to apologize for his verbal tirade directed at freshman guard Duane Notice in the second half of a loss to top ranked Florida. Martin was contrite and remorseful during a news conference that lasted about 20 minutes. Martin made it clear he fully supports Ray Tanner’s decision to suspend him for one game, and he said the responsibility and blame lies with him, not Tanner or anyone else.
Martin said the past 24 hours of “self inflicted pain” have been very difficult for him and his family. Martin did not shed tears, but was emotional when he talked about explaining to his son why the two of them would not be making the trip to Mississippi State this weekend.
You can listen to Martin’s mea culpa below. It is certainly one of the more interesting news conferences you will listen to.
