Former USC forward Damontre Harris has decided to transfer to Florida according to the Gainesville Sun which cited a source close to the Gator program for the information. That means Harris will get to face his former team at least twice a season in his final two seasons. He will have to sit out next season.
The 6-9 Harris picked Florida over Kansas. He visited both schools earlier this month.
Last season Harris averaged 6.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. And his 2.3 blocks per game were second best in the SEC.
Harris is the second former Gamecock to land at an NCAA contending program. Forward Anthony Gill is transferring to Virginia.
