For the first time in his football career, USC junior running back Marcus Lattimore went a spring without football. Lattimore spent the spring rehabbing his left knee which he injured last season at Mississippi State.
Lattimore tore his ACL and suffered cartliage damage while trying to throw a block. He had rushed for 818 yards and 10 touchdowns to that point in the season.
Lattimore updated his condition following USC’s spring game Saturday.

The return to health of Lattimore and Shon Carson, who suffered a torn ACL in the Georgia game last season, will give the Gamecocks one of their deepest backfields ever. They have Kenny Miles and Brandon Wilds returning and will add freshman Mike Davis to the roster in the fall.
