USC running back Kenny Miles is back in Columbia preparing for the spring semester. He said Tuesday he is not ready to announce if he will return to the football team next season. Miles is on track to graduate and was honored on Senior Night before the Clemson game. It looked like he was going to transfer to play his final season elsewhere before he put together big games against Clemson and Nebraska to close out the season.
Miles said he plans to talk with Steve Spurrier about his football future, possibly as soon as the next day or two. Spurrier is recovering from knee replacement surgery he had last week. Spurrier said last month should Miles return he will start the year as the number two back behind Marcus Lattimore.
Miles declined to say if he was leaning one way or another in his decision process.
