Furman TE Colin Anderson and Wofford OL Nate Page were named to the Walter Camp Foundation FCS All American Team. The team is chosen by FCS coaches and sports information directors.
The All-America honor was the second for Anderson, who was selected by the Sports Network to its All-America first team earlier this week.
A 6-foot-4, 231-pound junior, Anderson ranked among the top tight ends in FCS this year, catching 40 passes for 696 yards and seven touchdowns, including a career high nine receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown versus Samford and six passes for another career best 132 yards and a score against Elon. The Dallas, Texas, product, who came to Furman as a walk-on quarterback, capped his 2011 campaign with 47-yard touchdown pass against Florida in the season finale.
Anderson was among three Paladins to garner All-America honors in 2011, along with senior cornerback Ryan Steed (AFCA, Associated Press, Sports Network) and senior linebacker Kadarron Anderson (AFCA, Associated Press).
