Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins and USC defensive end Jadeveon Clowney were both named to the CBS Sports Freshman All-American team Wednesday. Watkins shattered Clemson and ACC freshman record this season by catching 77 passes for 1,173 yards. He had 11 touchdown receptions. Clowney tallied six sacks this season for the Gamecocks. He also forced five fumbles.
