Clemson saw the drive it carried into the fourth quarter stall out at the USC 23 after reaching the 14. On third down, Tajh Boyd was sacked by Melvin Ingram and Jadeveon Clowney. Chandler Cantanzaro booted a 40 yard field goal. With 13:48 left, USC leads 24-13.
USC answered that field goal with one of its own, and more importantly for the Gamecocks, they at up much of the fourth quarter on the drive. They kept the ball for 7:22 in driving to the Clemson 15. USC eventually settled for a 37 yard field goal by Jay Wooten. With 6:26 left, USC leads 27-13.
The Gamecocks sealed their third straight victory over the Tigers after DeVonte Holloman picked off a Boyd pass and returned it to the Clemson 19. Boyd hit Alshon Jeffery for a 19 yard touchdown with 5:20 to play and the Gamecocks built their lead to 34-13.
