Clemson center Dalton Freeman capped an emotional week by earning ACC offensive lineman of the week honors Monday. Freeman graded out at 93 percent in Saturday’s 31-28 win over Wake Forest. He was credited with five pancake blocks and he did not allow a sack.
Earlier in the week Freeman’s paternal grandfather passed away. Freeman’s father, Ben, is a former Wake Forest player and the head coach at Pelion High School.
Clemson will close out its ACC slate this weekend at N.C. State. That game will kick off at noon in Raleigh. The Tigers have already clinched the Atlantic division title and will face Virginia or Virginia Tech in the title game in Charlotte on December 3rd.
