DL Jonathan Bullard of Shelby, NC has not set any more of his official visits his coach said Thursday. Bullard has visited Nebraska and has said Florida will also get a visit. He’s also still considering USC, Clemson and Tennessee. He has visited each of those three unofficially and plans to get back to USC and Clemson. Bullard is not naming a favorite and plans to make a decision in late December.
The three major junior prospects from Dillon…OL Bryce King, OL DJ Park and RB Jabo Lee…visited Tennessee last Saturday for the USC game. King is sitting on offers from USC, Clemson and LSU. He’s also getting serious interest from Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Alabama and Auburn. “Virginia Tech was at our practice Tuesday,” King said. He plans to be at the Clemson-USC game later this month. He’d also like to see games at Alabama, Auburn and LSU. He had planned to go to the LSU-Alabama this weekend but can’t make it. King makes regular calls to his USC and Clemson recruiters, Shawn Elliott and Kevin Steele respectively, and he talked to both last week. King said he does not have a favorite.
DB Elijah White (5-9 180) of Chandler, AZ continues to show interest in Clemson and would like to take an official visit to the Upstate. He has scheduled visits to Ole Miss, Nebraska and Arkansas. “Clemson is having a great season and playing really well,” White said. “I really like the coaches. I need to call them to see if we can work it out so that I can visit.” As for favorites he said, “There may be a school that seems like a better fit with coaching and academics but I wouldn’t say I favor one over the other. I want to take my visits first.” White says his interest in the Tigers is strong.
LB Kaiwan Lewis (6-2 230) of Hammonton, NJ remains strong with his commitment to USC and will take his official visit to Columbia in January. He does not plan to take any other visits. “Some schools are still recruiting me but, as of now, I’m not going to visit any of them,” Lewis said. Those schools include Tennessee, Arkansas, California and Florida State. He has been impressed with the Gamecocks defense this season. “I watch every game that is on TV and they’re really good,” he said. “Everybody talks about LSU and Alabama but we’re (USC) right there.” Lewis admitted that he has been working to convince another Jersey product to go to USC with him. “I’ve been telling Eli (Shumate) to come with me so we can keep that New Jersey connection going,” Lewis said. This season, he leads his team in tackles and has two defensive touchdowns.
