2010-2011 Record: 21-12 (9-7) Round of 64
Georgia played their way into March Madness last season, but a return trip will not be easy. The Bulldogs lost Trey Thompkins and Travis Leslie to the NBA Draft. Head coach Mark Fox will lean on his backcourt experience to carry the Dawgs this season. Dustin Ware knocked down 43.5 percent of his three-point attempts last year and will be expected to lead the offense once again. The frontcourt is cause for concern in Athens, as Georgia lost their top three post players last season’s team. The Bulldogs will have to find a presence down low if they expect to replicate last year’s success. Georgia is not yet in the upper-echelon in the SEC and has to compete with Florida and Kentucky in the Eastern Division. Another trip to the NCAA Tournament is possible for the Bulldogs, but they may have to spring a few conference upsets.
