The USC football team plays on the road this weekend for the first time in over a month. The Gamecocks went 3-1 on their homestand. Their last road game was at Georgia. This Saturday they will face another group of Bulldogs at Mississippi State.
The Gamecocks are coming off their most lopsided SEC victory ever, 54-3 over Kentucky. The offense, with Connor Shaw at the helm, and with Steve Spurrier rolling out some new formations, had a field day against the beleaguered Wildcat defense.
The Gamecock defense was just as impressive against Kentucky holding the Wildcats to under 100 total yards. The Gamecocks are now 3rd nationally in pass defense and 9th nationally in total defense.
Saturday’s game will kickoff at 12:20 and be televised on the SEC Network.
