Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd has been named the ACC offensive back of the week for his performance in Saturday’s win over Auburn. Boyd completed 30 of 42 passes for 386 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions.
Boyd’s favorite target against Auburn was freshman Sammy Watkins. Watkins caught 10 passes for 155 yards and two scores against Auburn and was named the ACC receiver and rookie of the week. He also picked up 44 rushing yards. All told, Watkins had199 yards from scrimmage, the most by a Clemson player since the 2009 ACC title game when C.J. Spiller had 238 against Georgia Tech.
