For the second straight week Tajh Boyd threw three touchdowns to help Clemson rally for a win in a game most thought the Tigers would win easily. Boyd also rushed for a touchdown in the 35-27 win over Wofford Saturday afternoon at Death Valley. He finished 18-29 passing for 261 yards and the three scores. He carried the ball 10 times for nine yards and another score.
Running back Andre Ellington put together a great game against the Terriers. He carried the ball 22 times for 165 yards and one touchdown. He averaged over seven yards a carry and his longest run was 74 yards.
Sophomore wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins finished his day with five catches for 73 yards. He also caught a touchdown.
The win moves Clemson to 2-0 this season. The competition takes a huge step up next with with defending national champion Auburn coming into Death Valley. The Tigers are 2-0 and have won 17 straight. Saturday’s game kicks off at noon.
