Former Strom Thurmond standout Jakar Hamilton, now a free safety at Georgia, is expected to miss the season after suffering a fracture ankle in practice. Bulldog coach Mark Richt said it would take two to three months for the injury to heal. Richt said he did not expect Hamilton to be able to play this season. Hamilton has a redshirt year available.
Hamilton is a senior in Athens. He played in all 13 games last season starting five after arriving from Georgia Military Junior College.
