The State’s Josh Kendall is reporting USC football coach Steve Spurrier is line for a contract extension and a raise. Tomorrow the South Carolina Board of Trustees is expected to finalize a deal that would increase the Head Ball Coaches annual salary. He currently earns two million dollars per season and has three years left on his contract.
According to the report the assistant coaches will also receive raises. None of the specific terms for any of the contracts has been released.
Spurrier led the Gamecocks to their first ever SEC Eastern Division title last season. He is entering his seventh season at USC. He said he still plans to coach another four of five seasons.
