Two former Citadel football players have been sentenced to 3o years in prison for two home invasions, including one against a Citadel coach.
On January 19, 2011 Quarterback Miguel Starks and linebacker Reggie Rice pleaded guilty to kidnapping, first-degree burglary and armed robbery. A judge sentenced each man to 30 years imprisonment today in Charleston.
Starks and Rice pistol-whipped, then tied-up and robbed (now former) Citadel assistant coach Joshua Harpe on February 24, 2010 in West Ashley. The men were later found to be involved with a home invasion on James Island, where one of the men sexually assaulted a female victim.
