USC sophomore receiver Alshon Jeffery has been selected to the AFCA Coaches’ All-America team. Jeffery has 75 catches for 1,351 yards this season. That mark gives him the school record for most receiving yards in a season.
Jeffery is averaging 112.6 yards receiving per game, which leads the SEC. He ranks fifth nationally in that category. He has gone over 100 yards in seven of the Gamecocks twelve games this season.
Jeffery is also one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award for the nation’s top receiver. Oklahoma State’s Justin Blackmon and Oklahoma’s Ryan Broyles are the other two.
