Porter-Guad wide receiver Stanton Seckinger (6-5 200) committed to Clemson Tuesday night. Seckinger picked the Tigers over NC State.
“That was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make,” Seckinger said. “I just had a gut feeling that this is where I needed to be.”
Seckinger has only a grey-shirt offer from the Tigers right now meaning if no scholarship is available in August, he’ll wait and enroll in January. He does he believe one will come open though.
This season Seckinger has 90 catches for over 1600 yards and 24 touchdowns. From watching the Clemson passing game, he feels he can step right in and help. “I would be a decent possession receiver running digs and outs and curls, and they run a lot of those,” he said. “They like to throw a good many screens which we’ve done a lot this year.”
Seckinger is Clemson’s 22nd commitment and 4th receiver.
