Yes, Presbyterian has lost 15 straight games. And yes, that number is going to extend to 16 after they get clobbered by Clemson Saturday. But the news isn’t all bad for the Blue Hose. One week into the season PC has already pulled off the best trick play of the 2010 season. Nobody is going to top the trickery the Presbyterian pulled on Wake Forest last week.

The Blue Hose lost 53-13 to the Demon Deacons, but Coach Harold Nichols says the publicity from the play has far outweighed the shellacking his team took. His team left Winston-Salem with a nice paycheck and a highlight play that will be aired hundreds of times between now and the end of the football season.
Don’t think for a minute Clemson coach Dabo Swinney hasn’t watched the play dozens of times by now. The play has Swinney and the Tigers expecting more of the unexpected from the Blue Hose Saturday.
I’m a sucker for trick plays. I think there should be an NCAA rule that each team has to run one every game. Okay, I don’t really think that, but I am hoping the Blue Hose have a few more tricks up their sleeve before the end of the season.
