USC pitching coach Mark Calvi said Monday afternoon closer Matt Price will not be available for tonight’s game against UCLA in the World Series Championship. Calvi said the decision was made to give Price the day off even though he’s only pitched once in the last two games and had Sunday off. Price did throw 41 pitches in his last outing. Calvi said everyone else on the staff, with the exception of Sam Dyson, would be available tonight. He is undecided about his starter for Tuesday night’s game.
