USC defensive end Clifton Geathers is back on the Gamecock football team. Geathers will serve a one game suspension following his arrest in downtown Columbia several days ago.
Geathers was injured in the altercation that led to his arrest and still hasn’t been medically cleared to play. His one game suspension won’t count until he is cleared. This means if he isn’t cleared for Thursday’s N.C. State game the earliest he will be able to come back is the Florida Atlantic game. That would mean he would miss next week’s Georgia game.
He will be able to practice with the team immediately after he is cleared medically.
