USC held the 8th of 15 spring practices Saturday in conjunction with Will Muschamp’s coaches clinic that featured NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre. Saturday also was the third straight day of practices as Muschamp said he wanted to push his players to see how they would respond.

Clemson landed another marquis prospect for its 2018 recruiting class Friday night with a commitment from DE Justin Mascoll (6-4 237) of Snellville, GA. Mascoll had offers from coast to coast including USC, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, LSU, Georgia, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee.
OL Wyatt Campbell (6-6 285) of Lugoff-Elgin is gaining more notoriety in recruiting circles after offers from Virginia and Louisville. And Friday he was at USC to watch the Gamecocks in another of their spring practice sessions.
