Before they each left for their new teams in the NFL, former Clemson players Mike Williams and Cordrea Tankersley stopped by the SportsTalk studio to give a final goodbye to the state.
The King of Vance SC, Mike Williams, said he’s leaving behind great memories in the state before he head back to the Los Angeles Chargers. Phil Kornblut asked Williams what his favorite play was in his Clemson career. Williams joked that since he was in Columbia it had to be the time he carried Jamarcus King seven yards into the endzone.
“I didn’t even feel him, was was too light.”
Cordera Tankersley beamed similar enthusiasm for his new hometown in Miami with the Dolphins. The Dolphins told Tankersley they expect him to get starting snaps this year and compete across from fellow Clemson player Byron Maxwell.
The two players discovered that they play each other week 2 of the NFL season in Los Angeles and said that they’ll enjoy playing against each other for keeps in the big league.
