USC held the 8th of 15 spring practices Saturday in conjunction with Will Muschamp’s coaches clinic that featured NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre. Saturday also was the third straight day of practices as Muschamp said he wanted to push his players to see how they would respond.
Muschamp said Saturday was half practice, half scrimmage, and they ran about 75 plays with the coaches off the field. He feels his team is much improved over where they were this time last year.
The newest injured players are receiver Randrecous Davis who is out for the rest of spring with a sport hernia injury, cornerback Chris Lammons with a sprained foot and linebacker Skai Moore with an ankle injury. Lammons and Moore are expected back next week. Running back AJ Turner remains out with a hamstring injury.
