DL Coynis Miller (6-4 270) of Birmingham is a major target of Alabama and Auburn. And now Clemson has decided to mix it up with the Crimson Tide and the Tigers in their own backyard. Clemson offered Miller on Monday with their new defensive line coach Todd Bates, a former Alabama star himself, leading the charge.
“I wasn’t too shocked because Coach Bates and I have been talking for a couple of days,” Miller said. “He just told me how he loves the way I play and I feel that I could fit in with my speed and explosiveness. Clemson has a great program and they are still growing, so that’s a good thing.”
Miller has made visits to Alabama and Auburn so he’s got the two big boys in his state breathing down his neck, and they usually don’t lose someone in state they really want.
“Every school has a chance from the first offer till the last,” said Miller “My recruitment is fully open. I’m planning to visit LSU this weekend and am looking forward to visiting Clemson around April sometime or either the summer time.”
Miller also has been to Ole Miss and Mississippi State for visits.
