The days of commenting about strictly practice are coming to an end. On Sunday, the Gamecocks played their final scrimmage before the regular season opener at Founder’s Park against UNC Greensboro on Friday.
The bats were heavy in the scrimmage. Sophomore Jacob Olson homered the first run of the day and freshman Josh Gregory answered the call with a deep shot to right field later for the black team. Chad Holbrook spoke to the media after the game and said that his team looked alright today but he said there is still a lot up in the air before the regular season begins. Last Thursday on SportsTalk Holbrook said he’s still adjusting the batting order for the season and today he said will not have a final update on the starting roster that until Thursday.
Regardless…The end of practice is nigh.
