Clemson wins big
Clemson won its fourth straight game with a convincing 90-47 win over Mercer Saturday night at Littlejohn Coliseum. Donte Grantham led the Tigers with 19 points; Jaron Blossomgame added 16 points. Clemson knocked down 13 3-pointers and held Mercer to 30% shooting. The Tigers are 6-2 and will have a home game against SC State on Tuesday night.
Wofford falls to TCU
Wofford lost at TCU 74-63. Fletcher Magee scored 18 points in the losing cause for the Terriers. Wofford is 3-7 this season. The Horned Frogs improved to 9-1.
Furman wins a close one
Furman edged Gardner-Webb, 68-65. Dante Fowler’s late three helped the Paladins pull out the win and improve to 6-4.
Charleston Southern hits the century mark
Charleston Southern put a big number on the board with a 100-53 win over Johnson and Wales.
Coastal Carolina wins by three
Coastal Carolina held of North Carolina Central with a 70-67 win Saturday night. The Chanitcleers are 5-6 this season.
USC Upstate blows out Virginia-Wise
USC Upstate easily handled Virginia-Wise, 99-67. Malik Moore scored a career high 28 points. The Spartans are 6-5 this season.
