Friday marked the first day of the new recruiting season for basketball coaches and they hit the road across the country to get some facetime with their top targets.
6-7 Zion Williamson of Spartanburg Day, considered by some analysts as the top prospect in the country in the 2018 class, drew visits from head coaches Brad Brownell of Clemson and Roy Williams of North Carolina as well as USC assistant Perry Clark.
USC head coach Frank Martin paid a visit to 6-10 Brandon Huffman of Raleigh and 2019 SF Juwan Gary of Gray Collegiate in Columbia according to Phenom Hoops.
Back on his campus USC’s Martin has two big men on campus this weekend for official visits in 7-1 Jason Cudd of Socastee and 6-8 Ibrahim Doumbia of Miami. Cudd will visit East Carolina and is also looking at Tulane. Doumia will visit Florida next weekend.
Clemson is hosting this weekend 6-7 Aamir Simms of Dyke, VA for an official visit. He also has VCU, Miami, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame down for visits.
