DB AJ Terrell of Atlanta has said he will announce his college commitment Friday. Terrell has recorded his announcement on video and is expected to release it on Twitter sometime during the day. His decision was made from a final three of Clemson, USC and Florida.
Each of the finalists had a particular attraction to Terrell.
Clemson, considered the favorite by most recruiting observers, has had Terrell in for visits three times since June, more than any of the competitors. His last visit there was just last weekend to watch practice. He also is good friends with Clemson commitment Leanthony Williams.
For USC, Terrell has a strong relationship with secondary coach and defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson. And he has said Florida has been his dream school and he has said he nearly committed there when he made his lone visit there in April.
Whichever school lands Terrell will be getting a player regarded as one of the top safety prospects in the country for the 2017 class. As a junior he had 55 tackles with 2 interceptions and 3 pass deflections.
