BJ McKie is the all time leading scorer in USC basketball history and an assistant coach at Charleston Southern. He and head coach Barclay Radebaugh joined us on SportsTalk Wednesday night to talk Bucs basketball.
The conversation also turned to McKie’s son Justin who will be a sophomore at USC this season.
After a stellar high school career, the younger McKie struggled for playing time in his freshman season. He appeared in just 17 games averaging under 5 minutes an appearance and made just 3 of 17 field goal attempts.
That’s a far cry from what Justin McKie expected when he signed with the Gamecocks. But his father said he has persevered and learned from last season’s experience and will be a much better player this season because of that.
