Connor Shaw isn’t in the doghouse for his skydiving adventure.

When word got out about USC quarterback Connor Shaw’s recent skydiving trip there were some people wondering how the Gamecock coaching staff would react when they found out. Shaw indicated he didn’t clear his thrill seeking adventure with the coaches beforehand. Turns out he didn’t need to ask for permission or beg for forgiveness. Gamecock quarterbacks coach G.A. Mangus has no problem with Shaw jumping out of airplanes. In fact, he might even join him.

“I’ve got a lot of other things to worry about than tandem jumping,” Mangus told SportsTalk, “hell if he plays good and stays healthy I might tandem jump with him in January.”

Mangus had plenty more to say in his interview with us, including details on his recent hole and one and how the Gamecocks will handle the roles of Shaw and Dylan Thompson at quarterback this season. Take a listen below.
