The Charleston Southern Buccaneers received an automatic bid to the NIT by winning the Big South regular season title, and were seeded 8th in their region which is headlined by top-seeded Southern Miss. The Bucs will take on the Golden Eagles tomorrow night at 9:15 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, which will mark CSU’s first postseason appearance in 16 years, and the second in Charleston Southern history.
Head coach Barclay Radebaugh joined SportsTalk to discuss his team’s upcoming matchup with Southern Miss, as well as what playing in the NIT means to his program and a look back at the Bucs’ regular season success.
Charleston Southern finished the regular season with a 19-12 record, and will face the winner of 4th-seeded Florida State and 5th-seeded Louisiana Tech if they advance past the Golden Eagles.
