USC lands in top 10 in a pair of preseason baseball polls

USC will open the season ranked 7th in Baseball America’s poll

College baseball season is closer than you think. Teams around the country will start practicing over the weekend and many publications are releasing their preseason polls. The latest major ranking to come down pipe is from Baseball America.

In case you are too lazy to scroll through the poll below diligent enough to read this paragraph, USC is the only Palmetto State to crack BA’s top 25. The Gamecocks are 7th.  

Meanwhile, USC is ranked 5th in the USA Today Coaches poll. Arkansas is the top team in that ranking.

USC has made three straight trips to the College World Series. They finished secon lat year after winning back-to-back titles in the previous two CWS trips.
