Clemson skipper Jack Leggett will be inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame next year. Leggett will be a part of a seven member class that will be announced later this year. The induction ceremony will take place in January of 2014 in Dallas.
“It’s a great honor to be recognized in this way,” said Leggett. “It’s a great compliment to all the players and coaches who I’ve worked with in the past. It’s a culmination of a lot of hard work, both on and off the field. I want to thank everyone who has been involved along the way. I would like to accept this honor on behalf of The University of Vermont, Western Carolina University, and Clemson University.”
Leggett has racked up 1,224 wins in his 33 year coaching career. That total makes him the 14th winningest coach in D-1 history and the sixth best among active coaches.

Just for curiosity’s sake, what is Jackleg’s record vs: Carolina, Ray Tanner, Carolina in Omaha, and the number of national championships he has won? Just askin’.
