Tajh Boyd is coming back for a fifth and final season at Clemson. The reigning ACC Player of the Year announced he will not enter the NFL draft and plans to play out his senior season with the Tigers.

“I’ve enjoyed my time here at Clemson,” said Boyd. “I’ve been a part of a great family and learned so much as a person and as a player. I’m not ready to give it up yet, so I’m here to announce that I’ll be returning for my senior season here at Clemson University”

Boyd said Dabo Swinney responded with some text message from his iPhone featuring fancy animated dancing graphics.  Dabo is apparently very tech savvy. And he’s also giddy to have the reigning ACC Player of the Year back.

He made the best decision for himself and for Clemson,” said Swinney. “This is great for our program because I think he is the best quarterback in the country. He is not only the leader of the offense, he is the leader of this team. It is the best decision for him because he will benefit from another year of experience as the quarterback at this level. It will definitely make him more prepared for the National Football League.”

Boyd made the announcement a news conference in the West End Zone at Death Valley Wednesday afternoon. You can click on the lick below to listen to a portion of that new conference.

  1. Its good he’s coming back.Clowney will need a light snack to hold him over untill the Gamecocks bowl game.I heard the ncaa was going to fine the taters after the USC spanking because taj changed jersey numbers during the game.He started out wearing number 10 but spent most of the game with number 7 on his back.
