Charleston Southern is looking for a new head football coach. The school announced Thursday that Jay Mills is retiring after 10 seasons running the Bucs program. According to the school, Mills plans to pursue a career in athletic
“My passion for athletics and my purpose of growing coaches and young people fuels an intentional change in my career path,” Mills said in a school issued release. “It is my desire, and I believe I am prepared, to lead not just a sport, but an athletic department to this end.”
Mills led Charleston Southern to one Big South title during his tenure. Last season the Bucs finished with the league’s second best record.
