Jay Mills hopes to land an AD job

Charleston Southern is looking for a new head football coach. The school announced Thursday that Jay Mills is retiring after 10 seasons running the Bucs program. According to the school, Mills plans to pursue a career in athletic admiration administration.

“My passion for athletics and my purpose of growing coaches and young people fuels an intentional change in my career path,” Mills said in a school issued release. “It is my desire, and I believe I am prepared, to lead not just a sport, but an athletic department to this end.”

Mills led Charleston Southern to one Big South title during his tenure. Last season the Bucs finished with the league’s second best record.

  1. KMAC, Shouldn’t that be athletic administration? I wouldn’t mind havin’ a job in athletic admiration, myself.
