New Auburn defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson is going to be reunited with his close friend Charlie Harbison who has been Clemson’s co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach since 2009.
TigerIllustrated.com, citing information from recruit Adrian Baker who is on an official visit to Clemson this weekend, reported that Harbison is leaving to join the Auburn staff. The Auburn website AuburnUndercover.com also reported the hiring.
Johnson and Harbison previously worked together at Clemson, Alabama and Mississippi State. Johnson tried to hire Harbison when he was the defensive coordinator at USC.
