USC snapped out of its offensive funk and snapped a two game losing skid with a 91-74 drubbing of Jacksonville Friday night at Colonial Life Arena. The win moves the Gamecocks to 6-3 as they enter the exam break.

Freshman Michael Carrera led the way with 17 points, and Brian Richardson chipped in another 16. Richardson hit all four of his 3 point attempts. Bruce Ellington and Brenton Williams each had 12 points to complete the quartet of double digit scorers.

USC had 57 points at the half; the first time in 69 games they have scored over 50 points in the first 20 minutes. They hit that mark by connecting on six of seven three pointers in the half. The Gamecocks finished the game with 10 three pointers, making 62% from behind the arch.

The Gamecocks are off for 12 days for exams and will be back on the court December 19th against Appalachian State.
